At Books4Life.lk, we want every customer to have a smooth and trustworthy shopping experience. If you receive a damaged, incorrect, or faulty item, we will do our best to resolve the issue quickly through a replacement, exchange, or refund where applicable.

2. Return Eligibility
You may request a return within 7 days of receiving your order, provided that the item is:

- Unused and undamaged
- Not written on, marked, folded, torn, or altered
- Returned with any original packaging, where applicable

Returns may not be accepted if the item has been damaged after delivery due to customer handling, misuse, or improper storage.
3. Damaged, Faulty, or Incorrect Items
If you receive a damaged, faulty, or incorrect item, please contact us as soon as possible.
To process your request, we may ask you to provide:

- Your name and contact number
- Clear photos or videos of the damaged, faulty, or incorrect item
- Photos of the parcel packaging, if required
- Your preferred solution: replacement, exchange, or refund
Once the issue is verified, Books4Life.lk may arrange one of the following:
- Replacement of the item
- Exchange for another item
- Refund, where applicable
If the issue was caused by Books4Life.lk or during delivery, we will guide you on the return process and applicable return delivery arrangements.
4. Non-Returnable Items
Returns may not be accepted for:
- Books that have been read, used, damaged, marked, folded, or written on
- Items without order confirmation or proof of purchase
- Items damaged due to customer handling
- Clearance sale items, unless damaged or incorrect
- Special order items or pre-order items, unless faulty, damaged, or incorrect
- Digital products, gift cards, or downloadable items, if applicable
5. Refund Policy
Refunds will be processed only after:
- The return request is approved
- The returned item is received by Books4Life.lk
- The item is inspected and confirmed to be in acceptable condition
If approved, refunds may be issued through the original payment method, bank transfer, store credit, or another agreed method.
Please allow a reasonable processing time for refunds, depending on your payment method and bank processing timelines.
Delivery charges may not be refundable unless the return is due to a damaged, faulty, or incorrect item supplied by Books4Life.lk.
6. Replacement Policy
If a replacement is approved, we will arrange it subject to stock availability.
If the same item is unavailable, we may offer:
- A refund
- Store credit
- An alternative product of similar value
- An exchange for another item, with any price difference adjusted
7. Order Cancellation Policy
You may request to cancel an order before it has been dispatched.
Once an order has been dispatched, cancellation may no longer be possible. If you still wish to cancel after dispatch, you may need to return the item at your own cost, provided the return is approved and the item is received in original condition.
For Cash on Delivery orders, customers are expected to accept confirmed orders once dispatched. Repeated refusal of confirmed COD orders may result in future orders requiring advance payment.
